Georgetown Village will honor Robert vom Eigen at the organization’s annual Party on the Potomac, Thursday, May 5, from 6–8 pm. Held on the rooftop of 3000 K Street NW, at Washington Harbour, the fundraiser will help the Village expand services and continue our successful subsidized member program while recognizing Bob's commitment and devotion to the Georgetown community.

Bob was the founding vice president of the Village, providing wise counsel and diligent attention to the legal and financial responsibilities of our then-new organization. He remains on the board and devotes substantial time to volunteer activities. To date, he has provided more than 120 separate services to Village members, making him the Village’s leading volunteer and becoming the lifeline that enables members to continue their vibrant lives in their own homes.

Bob’s extensive civic activities began soon after his retirement from Foley and Lardner LLP as a highly respected attorney. He led the successful campaign to create Georgetown Waterfront Park and spearheaded the formation of its Friends group for which he serves as president. After serving in a variety of roles on the board of the Citizens Association of Georgetown, Bob was elected president in 2015 and continues to lead this organization that plays a significant role in shaping the Georgetown community.
