Burleith is served by an excellent public primary school system, which enjoys high parental involvement. Hyde-Addison (3219 O Street NW, Georgetown) is a public school within the District of Columbia Public School System and currently serves students from PK-3 to Grade 5. (Burleith students currently at Stoddert (4001 Calvert Street NW, Glover Park) may complete their schooling there.) Burleith is in-boundary for Hardy Middle School (1819 35th Street NW, Georgetown) as well as Jackson-Reed High School (formerly Woodrow Wilson High School) (3950 Chesapeake Street NW, Tenleytown). Parks and Recreation
Although Burleith is very close to the center of the city, a 5-minute walk into the park can bring you into the middle of the woods, with no houses in sight. Administered by the National Park Service, Glover Archbold Park borders Burleith on the north and west. Two sections of Glover Archbold Park are open areas that are special recreation areas for Burleith. More →

Transportation
Burleith is a walkable and bikeable community (with Capitol Bikeshare docking stations at 33rd and Wisconsin, 34 and Wisconsin, and 38th and Reservoir). Although not on a Metrorail (subway) line, the neighborhood is served by public buses that go across town and to/near several Metro stations (Dupont Circle and Tenleytown/Red line; Foggy Bottom and Rosslyn/Blue/Orange/Silver lines). Metro implemented its all-new bus network on June 29, 2025, so your best bet is to use WMATA’s Trip Planner for your bus and Metro travel. More →
