The Burleith Citizens Association (BCA) is pleased to announce the 2026 Burleith *Fall* Picnic on Saturday, October 17th from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Washington International School (WIS), 1690 36th Street NW. Burleith historian Dwane Starlin will kick off the festivities with a Burleith History walking tour at 2 p.m. (meet at the WIS campus). The picnic will entail Many fun activities including live music, Rocklands BBQ, drinks, snacks, and cake. Plus, we will have a Hallowe’en Table (costumes encouraged!), face paining, and a balloon artist.  All Burleith residents, BCA members, and former members are invited. There will be live music, Rocklands BBQ, a raffle, activities for children, and much more.

Rain or shine: we will move indoors at WIS

Big thanks go to our organizer Melanie Gisler, as well as to all volunteers from the BCA Board and the neighborhood. On that note, we need additional volunteers for various tasks: Posters announcing the picnic—putting up and taking down around the neighborhood; set-up and take down/trash and recycling on Picnic Day. If you are able to take on one of these tasks, please email Melanie: m.gisler@comcast.net.

This event is sponsored by the Burleith Citizens Association and is open to BCA members and other Burleith residents. Stroll down memory lane with these photos from the 2018, 2016, and 2015 picnics.
