Thank you to the enthusiastic volunteers (the proof is in the picture!) who showed up at the Burleith neighborhood clean-up on Saturday morning, June 17. Volunteers collected litter in and around Ellington Field, the Whitehaven Green Lot, Tot Lot, the Circulator stop on 35th and Whitehaven, as well as every street and alley in Burleith.  Their help and dedication helps keep our neighborhood beautiful, safe, and livable.

This semi-annual cleanup is sponsored by the BCA, Georgetown University’s Office of Neighborhood Life and GU Facilities Department, and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Special thanks to Burleith neighbor and Realtor/Washington Fine Properties Lenore G. Rubino, who provided free wildflower seed packets to volunteers.
