Holiday Winners ‘23

By Andrew Dunneville, BCA Board Member

I’m thrilled to announce the winners of the 2023 holiday lighting contest. There were so many beautiful houses, making this year’s selection difficult! It’s encouraging to see so many families lighting it up for the holidays.

1st place: 1811 37th Street:  There’s a lot going on, and that’s what we love.  It’s eclectic and spunky. Plus, the giant Buddha head gives off a cool international vibe.  Well done!

Honorable mention – Whitehaven parkway: This year’s honorable mention goes to the good folks on Whitehaven. There were some amazing homes, and overall we thought it was the prettiest street. The Christmas tree shape on 3526 Whitehaven was very creative and fun.

2nd place (tie) 3603 S Street: A perennial favorite, in our opinion. Each year, it seems they bring more bling, and my son, Zayn, loves bling. The candy canes add a sweet touch to the gingerbread house.

2nd place (tie) 3636 S Street: The white lights and reindeer family make this one a Christmas Classic. It’s very tasteful and refined.
