Organized by the Burleith Citizens Association with the help of GU Facilities, GU Office of Neighborhood Life, and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, the annual spring community clean-up on June 5th drew nearly 20 volunteers; a mix of children and their parents along with a few new faces to our neighborhood.

Two dedicated volunteers from Halcyon Arts Lab pitched-in to clean up the Tot Lot and surrounding area. For about two hours on a warm Saturday morning, volunteers picked up litter, bulk items, yard waste, and lots more! Special thanks to all those who volunteered to help keep Burleith beautiful.

Special thanks to all—especially to Janice Sims, community leader and co-chair of the Georgetown Community Partnership Environment and Landlord Initiatives Working Group, who has volunteered to help keep Burleith beautiful for nearly a decade.
