HD doors & windows info session

This meeting at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library is sponsored by the Friends of Burleith and has not been endorsed by the BCA Board.

Find out more about what it means to be a DC historic neighborhood. Get the answers to these and other questions about renovating in DC historic neighborhoods:

  • If Burleith became a DC historic neighborhood, what would be the requirement for replacing doors or windows?
  • How much would it cost? Would the cost be more than for non-historic neighborhoods?
  • What would be the effect on the permit process?

John Sandor, president of the DC Preservation League and a longtime resident of the Capitol Hill historic district, will speak and answer questions. He has worked as an architectural historian for the National Park Service since 1966. He will be joined by Paul DonVito, who will talk about his experience living and renovating in the Foxhall Village historic district.
