The talented, award-winning Wilson High School Theater program is back with URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL on November 11, 12, 18, and 19.  Don’t miss it!

Winner of three Tony Awards, URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL, is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution. An irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny, it is filled with tuneful references from classic American musicals and has been praised for its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.

Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL, tells the story of a Gotham-like city in the grips of a terrible water shortage that has led to  a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!

Shows are November 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:30 pm, and November 19 at 2:30 pm, at the Wilson High School Auditorium (3950 Chesapeake Street NW).
