  WELCOME TO BURLEITH

Burleith is a community of small single-family row houses located in beautiful Washington, DC. The 531 houses in the neighborhood were mostly developed in the 1920's. The neighborhood is wholly residential, forming a small oasis of peaceful greenery nestled alongside Glover-Archibold Park. Learn more about Burleith.

2008 Tot Lot Halloween Party
  October 31, 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Join us for a great time at the Tot Lot adjacent to the Corcoran School. Please bring a healthy snack to share (there will be plenty of candy collecting after the party). We look forward to seeing all of the neighborhood princesses, Harry Potters, kitty cats, and the occasional scary ghost or two.

We would welcome volunteers (college students are so very welcome) to oversee craft tables, set out food and man the games.

Contact: Melanie Gisler, 342-1922 for more information.

2008 Fall Cleanup
  November 15, 9:00am (New Date!)
Please join your Burleith neighbors and Georgetown University students on Saturday, November 15 for a community cleanup. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Ellington Field (38th and R Street entrance) to mobilize to pick up trash, debris and other unsightly stuff from the sidewalks, streets and alleys of our neighborhood. In advance of that date, if you know of a trash pile or specific area on which you think we should focus our attention, please notify the Burleith list serve or Mark Gisler.
