Burleith is a community of small single-family row houses located in beautiful
Washington, DC. The 535 houses in the neighborhood
were mostly developed in the 1920's. The neighborhood is wholly residential, forming
a small oasis of peaceful greenery nestled alongside Glover-Archbold Park.

Burleith Spring Cleanup - The BCA Spring
Cleanup was a Success! Thanks to all volunteers that spent Saturday morning, May
11th to pick up trash in the alleys, to pull weeds at Ellington field, and to clean
the gutters and sidewalks. Nearly 20 people volunteered, mostly regulars, but
there were some new faces. They collected 40 bags of trash, limbs and branches,
2 BBQ grills, 4 refrigerators, a shopping cart and several construction cones.
Neighbors like you provide the support, energy and great attitudes that make
Burleith home.

Burleith History in Pictures - The majority of the row
houses that make up present day Burleith were built by Shannon and Luchs in a
development that began in 1923 - 90 years ago. As part of the 90th Anniversary
Celebrations, we have been collecting photographs from each of the 9 decades
(1920s through 2000s). Click the magic door on the image below to see what has been collected so
far. If you have pictures you would like to add to the collection contact Ann

digitally scan the originals and return them to you promptly.
