Burleith is an ideal place for music and art lovers to live. Less than 10 minutes from the Kennedy Center (by car) and equally convenient to the Georgetown, Dupont Circle and Downtown entertainment districts, Burleith is also the site of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts (a D.C. magnet high school) and the Georgetown campus of the Corcoran School of Art

The Duke Ellington School for the Arts, at 35th Street and Reservoir Road, is a DC public High School which specializes in music and the arts. The auditorium at the Ellington School is used frequently for public performances by the Washington Savoyards, the Washington Performing Arts Society and the Hexagon Theater, among others.
