On the ANC 2E website is the BZA order in 1998 permitting operation of the Corcoran School of Art
at the former Fillmore School site. The beautiful Tot Lot has been finished
and is being enjoyed by neighborhood children. Landscaping is continuing
through the spring of 2001. The Corcoran has no current plans to elaborate
on the landscaping outside the 35th St fence. They welcome neighborhood
involvement in beautifying this site! The latest BCA Newsletter story on
the Tot Lot was December, 2000. Issues remain about parking and about
construction and use of the parking lot along 34th St.
