Burleith Photography Group |

- Purpose
- The Burleith Photography Group is a group of Burleith Citizens Association (BCA) Members
interested in photography.
It's purpose is to facilitate the exchange of information and the planning of activities
related to photography with interested Burleith neighbors.
- Status
- The next meeting of the Photo Group will take place in January 2013. More details to be
supplied here later.
- The Burleith Photography Group currently has 8 members and welcomes new members.
- Past Photography Group Activities
- November 15, 2012 (10:00 am - 5:00 pm) The group met at the Washington Convention Center ro an all day
Scott Kelby Photoshop Course.
- The October 29, 2012 meeting of the Photo Group was rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy.
- September 27, 2012 (7:00 pm) The group met at 3600 T Street to discuss the use of an iPAD to
download, organize, and edit digital photos in the field.
- June 14, 2012 (8:00 pm) The group met at 3600 T Street to watch videos from Colin Smith's
DVD "PhotoShop CS-5 For Digital Photographers". The videos watched were from the Editing Photos section of the
and included: Sharpening, Smart Sharpening, High Pass Sharpening, Lens Correction, Auto Lens Correction,
and Paint With Light.
- May 17, 2012 (7:30 pm) The group met at 3600 T Street to watch a video comparing the Adobe
Lightroom-Photoshop workflow versus the Adobe Bridge-Photoshop workflow. This was followed by a Metadata
discussion.
- March 25, 2012 - Three members of the Photo Group attended the Photoshop Expo at the Walter E.
Washington Convention Center.
- March 10, 2012 (10 am - 4 pm) PhotoShop workshop taught by
Steven Brown, professional photographer and
Burleith resident. Following a lecture on PhotoShop, the group walked around Burleith in pairs taking pictures,
then had lunch at Café Divan, and returned to Stephen's studio to apply their new found PhotoShop
knowledge to the pictures they had just taken.
